FFHS-NEWS Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) to close by April 2012

[News from the Federation of Family History Societies]

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has proposed a number of
cost-cutting changes including the closure of MLA by April 2012.

 

The announcement can be seen at

It remains to be seen how this will impact the sector.  The newly created
Archives & Records Association is jointly funded by The National Archives
and MLA.
