FFHS-NEWS Canadian census update

[News from the Federation of Family History Societies]

Following my email earlier this month about access to Canadian census
indexes, I have been told about the free index to the Canadian 1881 census
on www.Familysearch.org.  If you select an Advanced Search you can then
select the Canadian 1881 census.

 

The 1861 and 1871 census indexes for many parts of Canada are available on
the Familysearch Pilot website at

http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start where, by
browsing, you can discover which collections are available.
